Design Concept:
This installation was customdesigned for China Southern Power Grid, with materials sourced from work documentary photos and
submissions collected from the grid's employees.
Thousands of photos, hung with precise positioning along the stairwell corridor, employ illusion art to create a dual-perspective visual narrative.
Standing at the end of the staircase on the first floor, the photos converge to form the phrase "Lighting Up Thousands of Homes" in the viewer’s line of sight. Each image serves as a vivid footprint of the power grid workers illuminating countless households, embodying the process of safeguarding the lights that warm every home. Ascending to the end of the staircase on the second floor, the visual transforms into the phrase "CSG’s Deep Affection", where every captured moment bears witness to the emotional bonds forged between the grid’s staff and the communities they serve.
The installation demands extremely high standards of precision in its setup. The vertical height difference between floors and the exact hanging positions of the photos allow for no margin of error. This meticulous arrangement is not only a testament to technical expertise, but also a solemn interpretation of the original aspiration to "light up every household".
